I'm a native Texan with a passion for helping others. My career has revolved around communications work in health care and nonprofit — and when I'm not working, I love to hike, bake, and spend time with children and husband.

I am a first-generation college graduate — I'm an alumna of the University of Texas at San Antonio and the University of Texas at Austin. I have a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in public relations. I am the proud author of "The Adventures of Jack Jupiter in 'Where's Rocket?" and "Three," a coming-of-age novel.
